First Grade Update...

Parents,

We are off to a great start!  All of the students in our class said their memory work!  Yay!!!  The kids did a fantastic job saying the verse, book of the Bible, chapter and verse number.  Keep up the great work!  Please note on the newsletter and this blog important dates that are coming up in September.  We have picture day, no school dates, and we are singing in church.  For those of you who are new to this, Mrs. Peters, our music teacher, schedules 2 Sundays in a school year for our classes to sing at an Immanuel church service.  Our first date is Sunday, September 29 at 11:00 am.  Mrs. Peters usually has students arrive about 15 minutes early and we meet in the music room which is behind the sanctuary.

Our first book order came home this week as well.  If you would like to order online, you can click the reading club button located on the right side of this blog.  You can also send in your order with the flier and a check made payable to Scholastic.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and stayed cool.  It was hot!
